We’ll be using a generalized approach here, which works for most of the niches and website types:

1. High Search Volume for the main keyword with a lot of long tail keywords with low-medium search volume: Search Volume means the exact monthly searches for your keyword.

2. High Cost per click for the main keyword: You can check the current CPC for a particular keyword using SpyFu.

3. Low Competition in SERPS: It is really important to check for the sites, which will be competing against you. Always expect some competitors, as a niche with no competitors can indicate that it is not profitable enough.

Some points to keep in mind while checking for the competition are:

• Age of the domain

• Amount of pages indexed

• Number of Backlinks

• Type of Backlinks

Getting a Good Domain Name

A good domain name can increase the selling price of your website for as much as five times. I have seen, valuable domain names selling for as much as 4,000$ without any traffic or revenue. Well, that should reflect the importance of a good domain name.

So what are the qualities of a good domain name?

A good domain name should possess the following characteristics:

• Keyword Rich

• Aged (the more the better)

• Quality Backlinks

• Authority in Google

Well, if you are just starting out and are low on budget, you could go for a brand new domain name but it will take up time to build authority and rank for your keywords.

If you can afford a valuable domain name, then here are some places where you can search for the one that suits you the best.

#1 Flippa

As discussed earlier, Flippa is a big marketplace with a lot of buzz. Here you can find some great domain names at comparatively cheap prices. Just browse through the archive.

#2 Godaddy Auctions

A great place to look for domain names, you might have to skim a lot as there are a lot of junk in there but still a good place to find some hidden gems.

#3 Forums

A forum marketplace is a great place to look for domain names, people on forums are pretty desperate to sell of their assets for quick money and thus a great way to get cheap domain names.

Some Internet Marketing forums where you can buy domain names are Namepros, Digitalpoint, WarriorForum, V7N, Imtalk.

Building the Website

No tricks or fluff here, just some simple steps that you need to follow consistently to build a profitable website.

If you have done the keyword research part the right way, then the following steps will be a no-brainer once you get the hang of it.

• Install a CMS ( WordPress Preferred)

• Install a high-conversion theme

• Install all the necessary plugins

• Setup key pages: About, Privacy Policy and Contact us.

• Write 10 LSI themed articles

• Publish the 10 articles

• Create an XML Sitemap

• Setup an account on Google Webmasters and Google Analytics for the site

• Submit the XML Sitemap to Google Webmasters

• Bookmark all your webpages using Onlywire Bookmarking Service.

• Write 20 more LSI themed articles and schedule them at 2-3 per week.

• Setup the Onlywire WordPress plugin so that you don’t have to manually submit all your future posts.

• Submit 2 articles every week to Top 10 Article Directories, for four weeks.

After 4 weeks of the launch

• Submit 7-10 Articles every week to BuildMyRank Network

• Write 5-10 Guest posts every week.

• Be Transparent : Cut the fluff and state what’s relevant. It’s important that you show how impressive your figures are but do not brag about the future potential and stuff like that. Just show how much profitable it is right now and why should the buyer consider buying it.

• Collect your facts and figures from the past 3-6 months before putting up the auction.

• Start with a low biding price and if you are confident enough, which you should be, keep the reserve price at ZERO.

• Use upgrades to make your site stand out of the crowd. This small investment can make a huge impact on your final selling price.

• Disable bid auto-accept to avoid scammers. Make sure you check the buyers history and past transactions before accepting the bid.

• Accept Escrow. Escrow is a great way to build buyer’s trust and keep on the safe side at the same time.
